Extensive experience working with mentally ill adults in an inpatient setting. Client populations have included individuals with mental illness, dual diagnosis, personality disorders and developmental disabilities, who have been committed to a psychiatric hospital for a variety of personal and situational circumstances. Cognitive behavioral therapy, along with psycho-educational and relapse prevention models have been used in group, individual and family modalities, and have been effective in helping clients with depression, anxiety, impulse control disorder, psychosis and chemical dependency.

Completed extensive psychosocial assessments of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Participated on multi-disciplinary treatment teams in the development of a detailed treatment and recovery plan for individuals served. Conducted individual and group therapy. Completed reports to the Courts on a regular basis, making recommendations on treatment and level of care indicated for individuals committed as Mentally Disordered Offenders, Incompetent to Stand Trial and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. Performed case management, including frequent communication with family members, court personnel, conditional release liaisons and other community agencies. Provided clinical supervision for M.S.W. student interns and pre-licensed clinical social workers. Served on Field Instructors' Advisory Committee, and coordinated and provided group and individual clinical supervision for pre-licensed clinical social workers and M.S.W. student interns.
